Today we did our groundwork outside and took advantage of the puddles. After sniffing them for a second Jewel walked right through with no problem at all. Since that was so easy, I tried to see if I she would put all four feet on the little box. She had no issue with this either, and even stood long enough to let me take her picture!
We worked a lot on side passing and leg yielding under saddle. This proved to be a bit of a challenge but she improved a lot in a short amount of time. Knowing her, it will be 10 times better next time I ride her. I also set up some trot poles to help teach her to pay attention to where her feet are. We moved out at the walk, trot, and canter and worked on our soft feel as well. She did a really great job today.
